The SGI Canada Women's Group members in the Vancouver area became champions under the theme "Victory Through Our Own Human Revolution" throughout the month of May. Warm, relaxed and confident women greeted friends and guests who attended each general meeting in a home location generously offered by a district member. By preparing and sharing their stories of faith, thoughtful explanations, dances, songs, skits, games, handmade gifts, cards and food, each participant poured their heart into developing their potential and encouraging others.

The significance of 2011 as the 60th anniversary of the founding of the women's division was heralded. Each meeting was also supported by the efforts of the other divisional members and brightened by the attendance of young women.

When a message of guidance from SGI President Ikeda and Mrs. Ikeda was read stating, “There is nothing stronger or more valuable than women with beautiful hearts uniting together”, a glance around the room could see this truth in the lives of those gathered. The message went on to say, “When you dedicate your life to the noble mission of kosen-rufu you will definitely accumulate boundless good fortune and benefit. You can build a life of absolute happiness, feeling satisfaction and fulfillment in the depths of your inner being. In this Buddhist practice, there is no such thing as a deadlock that we cannot break through...The victory of the women of Canada directly contributes to the victory of women throughout the world.”

As each meeting concluded and the women gathered for a photo, their vibrant faces shone with the determination to put these words into action in their daily lives.
